i mean, mine ARE both.
As a guy, when looking at a female, I don't like to see big pieces of metal consuming the ear region. Studs or small dangles are fine. I can't stand to see those giant hoops... ugh! The color and shape of the stones should have a theme and purpose. Like enhancing the eyes or another peice of jewelry on the neck or wrists.
